WORK is about to start to turn a forest clearing into a rock venue.
About 9,000 people are expected at Dalby Forest, near Pickering, North Yorkshire, to see Paul Weller on Saturday, June 19, and Bryan Ferry on the following night.
Tickets for the Weller concert have already sold out and only 20 per cent of the Ferry tickets are left.
Doors open for both concerts at 6pm and car parking is free. Dalby will be closed to general visitors from 5pm on both afternoons.
Paul Cody, from the Forestry Commission, said: "We would encourage people to come early and make the most of the fantastic atmosphere. These will be our most successful concerts, which reflects the high calibre of all the performers, including support acts."
Tickets to see Bryan Ferry cost £24 and can be booked by calling the Forestry Commission on (01842) 814612
