PEOPLE still have time to vote in the Euro elections today.
Arrangements have been made in each council area of north Durham and Tyne and Wear to allow voters to drop in completed ballot packs.
Staff will be on hand at the help points to act as "witnesses" for late voters, providing they have suitable identification, including photographic documentation in some cases.
Printing problems have led to delays in the mailing out of ballot packs in some areas of the North-East Euro election constituency, one of four in the UK where it is an all postal vote.
l In Chester-le-Street, polling booths in the civic centre canteen, in Newcastle Road, will stay open until 10pm.
l Voters in Derwentside can drop off completed packs at the civic centre, in Medomsley Road, Consett, until 10pm, where there is a witness service with a council official able to countersign ballot papers.
l Durham City Council's Information Centre, in the former Tourist Information Centre, in the Market Place, will be open from 7am to 10pm. Voters with identification will be offered a witness service.
l District council offices in Seaside Lane, Easington, will be open until 10pm, with a witness service available.
l Voters in the former Durham coalfield areas, now in Sunderland City Council boundaries, can drop their ballot packs off at the library in Newbottle Street, Houghton-le-Spring, until 10pm.
