FIVE thrill seekers will take part in a tandem skydive to raise money for charity.
Michael Hay, 26, who works in Darlington's main post office, in Crown Street, decided to organise the parachute jump to experience the adrenaline rush for a second time.
"I have done a jump before and it is the best thing in the world. It is amazing," said Mr Hay, of Pudsey Walk, Newton Aycliffe.
His 31-year-old fiancee, Julie Higson, agreed to take part in the jump, along with colleagues Mark Holliday, 23, of Walton Heath, Darlington, and Jan Lithgow, 22, of Cradock Street, Bishop Auckland.
His friend, Gary Coleman, 25, Biscop Crescent, Newton Aycliffe, has also agreed to do the jump, at Shotton Colliery on June 27, despite having a fear of heights.
All five have to raise at least £350 each for Mencap, the country's leading charity for adults and children with learning disabilities.
Father-of-two Mr Hay said they had raised about £1,000 so far and were looking for further sponsorship.
Anyone wanting to sponsor the group can ask for Mr Hay at the post office during working hours or hand in the money at Costa Coffee, in Ottaker's book shop, Darlington.
