Sedgefield Players are preparing to stage their latest production, a thriller titled Blood Money.
The production will be at Sedgefield Parish Hall on Thursday and Friday, June 24 and 25, starting at 7.30pm each evening. There will not be a Saturday evening performance this year.
Blood Money moves the Players away from their recent style.
Producer Walter Howell said: "It is quite a time since we last did such a thriller and this one is guaranteed to keep the audiences guessing and sitting on the edge of their seats."
The small cast includes Norma Neal as the wife of a TV game show presenter, played by Terry West. Kimberley Walkman is the young girl next door and Rosemary Jones is a psychologist.
Mr Howell said: "Between those four a web of intrigue and deceit is woven which I defy anyone to unravel until the final curtain."
Tickets, available from Selections or members, are priced at £5, concessions £4.50.
