Donny Birch is calling it a day after 30 years behind the wheel - but he will be keeping on the move.
Over the past three decades he has covered more than three million kilometres as a delivery driver for Masham-based animal feed manufacturer I'Ansons.
But after over the keys to his lorry for the last time, standing still is the last thing he intends to do.
He doesn't plan to stay in one place too long as he and his wife Joan now intend to travel around the world.
"I'm sad to be leaving I'Ansons after 30 years. They have been a great company to work for, but I'm looking forward to travelling and seeing the world and at least this time I won't be driving," he said.
Sales director Sarah Banks said: "Donny has been a real ambassador for the company.
"He is conscientious, hard-working and has been a real asset.
"He bears a customer service record second to none and we will be sad to see him go, but we wish him well for the future."
* I'Ansons has been serving farmers in Yorkshire and the North of England for more than a century.
Founded in the Dales town of Masham by Christopher I 'Anson in the first year of the 20th Century, it is still based there today and is now run by members of the fourth generation of his family.
I'Ansons subsidiary Masham Micronized Feeds has become the largest manufacturer of micronized feeds in Europe.
