Richmond hosted their 26th pro-am, good weather conditions and a full field of competitors made for an excellent day.
This year's event was organised by Martin Catt, who worked hard to gain new sponsors, but also working with existing sponsors he and the club hope to build the pro-am back to being a major event in the clubs calendar. Many local and regional sponsors supported this years event, those who took part are very thankful for this.
The course had been prepared for the big day with tough pin positions and fast greens many comments were made on how good the course was. The Barclay roofing team consisting of C.Goodfellow (professional), P Trelease, A Grieve and Stuart Dozey found no difficulty in scoring, coming in with a fantasic score of 23 under it was recognised this was an unbelievable score considering the course conditions.
Robert Glover Club Captain, conducted the prize giving to a full club house, which he thank all the sponsors and volunteers who helped in making this a successful day during his year as Captain, he presented the winning team with their reward, a set of watches from Keith James Jewellers in Richmond.
Individual prizes, nearest the pins on the par threes and longest drive were also keenly contested for.

Fifth Division Yorkshire Team Championships at Otley
The team continued on its impressive form to gain promotion from the fifth division to the forth division, Mike Henson 71 70, Tony Andrews 79 77, Martin Catt 81 83 and Mark Thorpe 72 74 the combined scores of 607 was enough for promotion and chance to play in the forth division at Bingley St Ives on the 23 June.
Club competitions
Randall Orchard Salver, winner Tony Andrews continued his fine run of form to gain one of the clubs major trophies. This 36 hole event is played over two weekends and always attracts a good field, Tony won with net scores of 63 & 66, Luke Searle finished a credible second with scores of 66 66.
