Ferryhill Surtees were in a hurry when they visited Coxhoe Cricketers Arms and dismissed their hosts for just 43.
The reply was similarly hectic as the visitors raced to victory by knocking up the winning runs for the loss of three wickets in eight overs with Alan Ivy leading the scoring with 16 not out.
There was a tense run race when Shildon Timothy Hackworth entertained Newton Aycliffe PWS. The home side batted first and made 123 for 8 in their 20 overs with Tommy Clegg the leading scorer with 25 not out. PWS almost matches the require run rate throughout but just fell short near the end when their innings was ended at 119 in the final over. Neil Egginson made 30 not out with Ed Duffson adding a valuable 25.
Shildon Blacksmith's Arms entertained Wolsingham and batted first making 113 when their overs ran out with Mike Smith 26 not out and David Egglin 25 not out leading the scoring. Simon Campbell had the good bowling return of 3 for 17 for Wolsingham. Campbell then took over with the bat and contributed 25 to add to the 26 scored by both Wayne Booth and Josh Wilks as Wolsingham went through to victory for the loss of five wickets.
