In the Washington and Harraton Match at Eden Meadows on Saturday pastie sized carp made up the winner's net as Shiny Row's Steve Keane grabbed the honours recording 24.2.0.
Split between Acer and Cherry Tree Lakes Steve on Acer 15 offered pellet tight to the island at 11 metres taking a succession of fish during a close run contest.
Then over on Cherry Tree 5 it was a different story for runner up Team Shimano Quaker's Martin Robson.
Fishing close in on pellet Martin located two quality carp averaging 6.0.0 apiece to boost his return of 22.4.0.
Come Sunday at Eden Meadows carp were more interested in spawning during the Sunderland Pole Trophy and Louie Mackintosh of Dick Clegg Metro got the best result 10 for 16.4.0.
Louise on Cherry Tree three netted three carp to paste then the others down the track at six metres on pellet.
Victory once again eluded Martin Robson who slipped into second place. This time around Martin on Acer Lake peg 26 took a trio of carp to pole and pellet at 11 metres before waiting until the final 60 minutes to add four more down the track for a late 15.0.0.

The York Open at Laybourne Lakes resulted in a memorable day for Selby's Keith Mitchell who capitalised on a good draw and literally wiped out the opposition.
Keith drawing peg 46, the end of the point on Marley Lake, took full advantage netting an abundance of small carp to 2.0.0 on pole and pellet at 11 metres to record a terrific net of 62.10.0.
Barlby Village Stores Phil Austin followed with 27.0.0. A meat approach at 12 metres across to the island accounted for an all carp return.
The Bob Co Spring Series on Carpvale Fishery Moor Monkton came to a close on Sunday.
On the day Mick Addinall signed off in style when he took 47.5.0 of carp to the scales to get ahead by nearly 12.0.0.
A pellet approach up in the water off Cyprio 15 accounted for most fish with a few falling to bread on the surface.

Leighton Reservoir Masham - 432 fish - 172 visitors. Rod average 2.5: Biggest rainbow of the week went to Mr Eastwood of York. In calmer conditions orange and black fritz are proving most effective on this venue.
Jubilee Lakes Redworth - Rod average 3.8: Rainbows falling to buzzers, suspenders and shuttlecocks. Sedges and daddies along with yellow or orange blobs all successful. Ashington visitor Steve Short landed the biggest rainbow of the week 16.3.0 to a grey zonker and Bishop Auckland's Harry Duffin fished a grizzle zonker to tempt one of 13.3.0.
