Crook Individual League
Doug Bowey produced his best result since joining the league when he overcame David Stephenson in the decider. Stephenson was hoping for a good result, which would have lifted him into second place in the table and he certainly looked up to it when he confidently cleared five balls and the black to go ahead. Things continued to go well as he cleared all his balls in the second but a slight positional fault left him unable to take the black. Bowey, snatching his first real chance, levelled the match with a complete clearance. Spurred by this success Bowey went on to clinch victory in a tight decider.
In the only other match played Chris Peacock came from behind to beat Richard Walker. After Peacock missed in the first frame, Walker took over to clear his last five balls and the black. However the second more tactical game was won by peacock, who then went to victory when he took advantage of an early foul by Walker to clear all his balls and the black.
Darren Tinkler leads the table by three points from David Craggs, who is one ahead of David Stephenson. However there are seven outstanding matches to be re-arranged, with players being asked to organise them as quickly as possible.
Matches on Monday at Crook Coach and Horses: Simon Bowey v Neil Campbell; Darren Tinkler v Lee Scott; Lee Cullinan v Aaron Cowan pluas any re-arranged games.
