A PUB ravaged by fire last month will be rebuilt, brewery bosses have confirmed.
The Old Farmhouse Inn, on the outskirts of Darlington, was devastated by the blaze, which gutted the kitchen and dining room.
The fire, which occurred on May 18, started in a grill pan in the kitchen and quickly spread to the roof.
Staff were later assured that their jobs were safe, with many being deployed to other pubs under the Vintage Inn umbrella.
But there was speculation about the future of the pub building, which was facing potential closure.
However, the Mitchell and Butler Brewery said that it would be refurbished, with only the new style left to be considered.
A spokesman said: "The pub was really successful as a Vintage Inn. It was very popular with local people and we would not want to lose it."
It is thought that work could begin next month.
