AN exhibition charting the rise of the steam railways has opened.
Photographs, railway objects, models and documents from the days of steam locomotives are on show at the Stockton in Steam Exhibition, at the Green Dragon Museum, in Calverts Lane, Stockton.
The exhibition charts the development of the Stockton to Darlington Railway and the importance the development of railways had on the town and the country.
Also on show are models of the first locomotives, coaches, tickets and images of original letters by George Stephenson.
The exhibition is open until Saturday, September 4. Admission is free.
The museum is open from 9.30am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday.
