A STATELY home is to celebrate its links with an American state by marking Maryland Charter Day on Sunday.
Kiplin Hall, near Scorton, North Yorkshire, will feature 17th Century crafts and food.
The anniversary dates from 1634 when Charles I granted the charter to establish the colony of Maryland to Cecil Calvert, eldest son of George Calvert, who built Kiplin Hall in the early 1620s.
Admission to the event costs £5 for adults and £3 for children, which includes admission to the hall
