A PRIMARY school has scooped an award for encouraging pupils to help shape their school.
Stanley Crook Primary School has been presented with an Investors in Children Award, which acknowledges the role given to pupils in decisions that affect them.
Headteacher Shirley Oswald said: "It acknowledges that all involved in our school listen to and learn from what children have to say and create opportunities for them to have a voice in all decisions."
The school holds council sessions for class representatives to prioritise issues.
