TWO popular bands have given their support to a cancer charity by pledging to appear at a fundraising concert.
Folk group The Fettlers folk group, headed by Stewart McFarlane, and a jazz outfit, the Swale Valley Stompers, will appear at Rudby Hall, Hutton Rudby, near Stokesley, on Sunday, July 4.
The concert, called the Rudby Hall Jazz Picnic, will run from midday until 4pm and is in aid of Macmillan Cancer Relief.
Fundraising manager Wilma Burniston - from whom tickets are available on (01325) 370870 - said: "It is truly a community event.
"Python Properties gave us permission to use the grounds of Rudby Hall, the White Swan at Stokesley has sponsored the event and the two bands are giving of their time.
"We are an extremely fortunate charity to have support like this."
All cash raised will be donated to local Macmillan appeals.
