Boosbeck were all out for just 103 but Ormesby Hall conceded eight wickets before meeting the modest target, writes Malcolm Pratt.
Passmore top scored with 32 which included four boundaries when Boosbeck made first use of the wicket and found John Peacock, in particular, in good form with the ball for Ormesby Hall.
Peacock delivered 11 overs, two of which were maidens and finished with five wickets for 47 runs while George Wilkinson returned two wickets for ten runs in six overs.
David McCabe top scored with 22 which included three boundaries and for Boosbeck Mark Robinson took four wickets for 43 in nine overs and Daynes had two for 27 from ten economical overs.
The game between Norton and Staithes ended in a tie. Batting first Norton reached 152 for six with O'Brien top scoring, unbeaten 45. C Rickard opened the innings scoring 21 and J Rickard added 22. Bowler was also in form with the bat scoring 28 while for Staithes, Bowes had three for 47 and Thornton two for 32.
When Staithes replied they were give a good send off by Thornton (25) and Horne (42). Bowes, batting at number four, contributed 21, but in an exciting finale Staithes were all out for 152 as Brooks captured four wickets for a mere eight runs and Skirving had three for 76. O'Brien picked up two wickets and Jenkins claimed the other one at a cost of 24 runs.
The Merlin were all out for 86 and Moorsholm celebrated victory by seven wickets. Ward returned the outstanding figures of seven for 36 and Burton had three for 46 as The Merlin batsmen struggled for runs. Opener Keith Hardy batted throughout the Moorsholm reply ending with 13 not out as his side won losing just three wickets, two of them to Sutherland, for 23 runs.
Dormans failed to make it into three figures scoring just 98 at Paragonians for whom Watt took four wickets for 24 runs and Skilbeck three for 38. Allison, introduced as second change, was also among the wickets with figures of two for 25.
When they made first use of the wicket Dormans were given a good send off by Grosvenor (19) and Bruce (32). Later Dale added 24 before the innings closed on 98.
Paragonians made an indifferent start to their reply but 25 by Crane raised their hopes. It was late order batsmen Watts with 26 and Patterson with an undefeated 20 though who won the game as Paragonians squeezed home by just one wicket. Dale almost snatched victory for Dormans with figures of six for 39 and Javed returned two for 29.
Hartlepool Rugby Club were all out in 29.3 overs for just 35 but Brotton lost seven wickets reaching the low targets. Mark Broughton returned the magnificent figures of seven for 21 in 12.3 overs on his return from injury and Mark Smith had two for five in four overs as the Rugby Club batted just 29.3 overs.
Brotton though also struggled for runs and L Prosser was in good form for Hartlepool taking three wickets for just three runs in four overs, three of which were maidens. Wallace gave support with two for 11 from 5.3 overs as Brotton totalled 37 for the loss of seven wickets.
Ormesby Hall won a low scoring game at Skelton Castle by 12 runs. Batting first the visitors were all out for 73 as Twivey had five wickets for 31 runs and Hainsworth three for three. Stubbs, who opened the attack, gave support with two for 23.
Despite facing a low target Skelton Castle lost by 12 runs when they were sent back with just 61 runs on the board. Poole claimed five wickets for only 29 runs and Roberts had equally impressive figures of four for nine.
Loftus made a respectable 175 for five declared before losing by three wickets to Cowpen Bewley. Tyreman opened for Loftus scoring 60 and C Morrison contributed 66 while for Cowpen Bewley M Atkinson had three for 20 and C Atkinson two for 17.
Despite losing their openers for a combined total of just 21 runs Cowpen Bewley won with three wickets remaining. C Atkinson scored 41 and Barlow ended unbeaten on 82 out of a total of 179 for seven. Four of the wickets were taken by Morrison at a cost of 61 runs.
Normanby Parklands A defeated their rivals Normanby Parklands B by ten wickets. Mallon captured six wickets for 22 runs as the B side were reduced to 71 all out an when Scrafton and Daoud both scored 28 not out, Normanby Parklands won without losing a wicket.
