Wolsingham went down to their first defeat of the season when they visited West Auckland Blacksmith's Arms and were put into bat.

The visitors struggled against a very competent home attack and reached 112 for 9 when the overs ran out. Rob Dawson carried his bat for 25, whilst Richie Hanlon added 24 and Richard Cranb 23. The best bowling return for the Blacksmith's came from Donald Hennon, who took two wickets for ten runs.

The home side were always in command of the necessary run rate and reached their target of 113 for the loss of only two wickets with Carl McGregor making 30 not out, Colin Henderson 29 not out and Mike Smith 21. Richard Cramb was the Wolsingham's best bowler with a return of one for three in two overs.

Shildon ISA entertained Ferryhill Station Surtees and batted first, making 116 in their twenty overs with Graham Thurm not out on 26, Richie Pringle not out on 25, whilst Andy Sewell added 21. The Surtees made a sterling effort to keep up with the required run rate but steadily fell behind and eventually their innings was completed when the overs ran out with their score at 100. Dave Bullman was the key bowler for ISA with two wickets for three runs.

Shildon Timothy Hackworth batted first against the visiting Newton Aycliffe PWS and knocked up 145 in their twenty overs. The visitors never looked like matching this scoring rate and were dismissed for just 64.
