AN 11-year-old-girl is set to make her television debut.
Ritzy Keaveny, a pupil at Teesside Prep School for Girls, in Eaglescliffe, has been selected from 1,200 hopefuls to take part in the BBC children's programme Raven.
She is one of 18 children who will spend a week filming in Scotland next month for the quest programme, which involves dressing up as a warrior to perform challenges.
Ritzy, from Norton, is no stranger to performance and recently came first in her class at the Middlesbrough Dance Festival. She has performed in pantomime at Durham's Gala Theatre and is also an enthusiastic member of her school's drama club.
She heard about the auditions as a member of Yarm Spotlight Performing Arts School.
"I'm really looking forward to it," she said.
