Bishop Auckland Golf Club strengthened their hopes of repeating last season's championship win when they only dropped one point to the visiting Newton Aycliffe Southerne Club.
This left the Golf Club two points behind the leading Darlington Cricket Club, who have played two more matches, and one point behind Hopetown, who have played one more match. The Golf Club had wins from Andrew Aisbitt, who put in a 65 break, Kevin Mordica and Paul Weighill whilst Ian Halford won for the Southerne Club.
Bishop Auckland Kingsway moved five points behind the joint leaders, Darlington Snooker Club B and Northgate with a match in hand after they drew with the visiting Shildon Elm Road. The Kingsway team had wins from Ray Kellett and George Stamp, whilst Elm Road equalised with wins from Colin Coulson and Peter Nutkins.
