A man had part of his ear bitten off during a fight in a Stockton pub.
The incident happened at around 1.40am on Sunday in the Blue Lounge pub, Bridge Road, Stockton, and as a result a 35-year-old Billingham man was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees with a suspected fractured jaw and skull. He also had a large chunk bitten off his ear.
The man was later transferred to Middlesbrough General Hospital, where he has been detained. His condition is described as comfortable. Police would like to speak to anyone who may have any information about the incident and are particularly anxious to speak to a man said to be involved in the fight.
He is described as stocky build, short cropped hair which is receding and in his early thirties. He was wearing a light coloured shirt.
