THE British Red Cross is holding a zip slide event from the Transporter Bridge, Middlesbrough, on Sunday, July 11, to raise funds for the charity.
It is only the second time the bridge has been used for such an event.
No experience is necessary, although a strong stomach and head for heights would be needed to slide 700ft from the bridge down to the ground.
Kirsty Hill, British Red Cross fundraiser for Teesside, said: "This is going to be a massive event and a fun day out so we're advising people to get in touch as soon as possible to take part.
"All we ask is that participants must be over 16 and a minimum of £100 sponsorship is required."
Anyone who is brave enough to take part or requires any further information can contact Ms Hill on (01642) 606570.
