A pet dog travelled 14,000 miles to a new home in the North-East - then ran away yards from the front door.
Honeybear's epic journey began in Macau, off the coast of China, and took her to Oklahoma, US, then across the Atlantic to Heathrow. She was then driven to Northumberland, where she fled and has not been seen since.
Owner Sandra Adams, 54, is desperate to track down her five-year-old crossbreed dog, which ran away a week ago.
The university lecturer, who lives in Bahrain, said: "I can't believe it. She has literally been halfway across the world and then bolted when she got to her new home.
"She was going to live with my mother in Guidepost, in Northumberland, and was on the final stage of her journey.
"But the driver unlocked the crate in the middle of the street and, obviously, she ran out. I am worried sick about her."
