A singing fish will be one of the attractions at a village scarecrow competition.
Bassett the fish, which is activated by a sensor, has appeared in the front garden of a bungalow in Sawley, near Ripon, as part of the community's annual competition.
Creator Geoff Watson said: "It's a bit of fun, but it is causing quite a lot of laughs.
"One woman walked past and almost jumped into the centre of the road when she activated the sensor and the fish jumped from the water."
The contest is a preview to the village's annual country fair on Sunday, June 27.
