SIX dancers with a difference have taken up residence on the lawns of a council's offices.
The dancers are living sculptures made from scaffolding poles, galvanised wire and rubber hose and covered with growing plants.
They are human scale and have been inspired by topiary forms and Elizabethan costumes.
The figures have been created by Julia Barton, who is a specialist in garden art sculpture, and were produced in collaboration with museums, arts and parks staff at Harrogate Borough Council.
In April, they were planted with alpine, succulent and annual plants in the council nurseries and now they are ready to go on display on the lawns in the centre of Crescent Gardens, in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
They will be unveiled tomorrow at noon in front a group of invited guests.
An exhibition of Julia's sketch books and working drawings is on display at the Mercer Art Gallery until September 5.
In the past, she has made public art for diverse settings in Yorkshire and the North-East, including hospitals and historic houses.
