PUPILS at a Darlington school have been rewarded for their work at an awards ceremony.
Almost 100 pupils at Eastbourne Comprehensive School were presented with certificates by Peter Barron, editor of The Northern Echo, on Tuesday.
Headteacher Karen Pemberton said: "The ceremony is for children who have achieved, who have worked hard, behaved properly or had success at sport. They are rewarded at the end of what has been a very successful year for Eastbourne. A lot of the success is down to the pupils themselves and how positive they have been about moving the school forward."
