A SERVICE celebrating the 328th anniversary of a group of almshouses in the region will be held this evening.
The service to remember and acknowledge the life and work of Sir William Turner is held each year, on the anniversary of the day the almshouses, in Kirkleatham, near Redcar, east Cleveland, were first opened by the founder.
The service will be held in the chapel at 7pm and is open to everyone. The chapel will be open from 6.30pm and the common room and grounds will be open to visitors after the short service.
