A Darlington drama group is to tackle a Shakespeare play for the first time.
Members of the St Augustine's Repertory Society (Stars) say they have had great fun getting to grips with A Midsummer Night's Dream, a Shakespearean tale of young love, teenage defiance and magic.
The play within a play sees a group of workmen planning their own drama.
But when one, Nick Bottom, is turned into a donkey by mischievous sprite Robin Goodfellow, also known as Puck, confusion reigns.
The play is being performed at St Augustine's Parish Centre, Larchfield Street, Darlington from Thursday to Saturday this week, at 7.30pm each night.
Tickets are available by telephoning (01325) 266501 or (01325) 483277.
