Darlington CC under elevens made it nine wins from nine North Yorkshire league matches by defeating Seaton Carew on Saturday.
The seasiders had won six out of eight before entertaining the Quakers, narrowly losing to Stockton and Norton earlier in the season.
Darlington won the toss and elected to field first. Once again the quick stumping of James Dobson enabled Darlington to take 4 Seaton Wickets. Dobson claimed two stumpings and a catch as the home side battled their way to a net score of 216. Stanley Clitheroe's brilliant caught and bowled helped him to return excellent figures of 2 for 3 off his two overs.
Michael Colling with one for 6 and Adam Baldwin again bowling boomerangs with one for three were Darlington's other wicket takers.
In reply Darlington's batting line up was too strong for the seasiders and runs came steadily with each of the four batting pairs.
Seaton got two Darlington wickets, both run outs when Peacock and Hardy lost their wickets. James Dobson sealed the victory with a team top score of 15 not out to help Darlington reach 54 points and top position in the league. Adam Baldwin won the fielding award for the second week running and Stan Clitheroe was Man of the Match.
The Quakers also progressed to the next round of the Gemara cup after Darlington RA forfeited the match when they failed to field a side.
Darlington travel to Sedgefield on Saturday to face the league's other newcomers this season.
