A JURY has convicted a teenager of robbing a man in his own home.
The 17-year-old was found guilty of taking an active part in the raid after a two-day trial at Teesside Crown Court.
It was alleged the youth, who cannot be named, held a knife to the throat of the householder while two accomplices took a hi-fi, jewellery, and a suit carrier.
The teenager accepted he was in the house in Bright Street, Hartlepool, but denied he was the knifeman who terrorised Christopher Aves.
He claimed he did not realise the others were going to take the property by force when they turned up at the house on November 25, last year.
The two others - Lee Norton, 24, of Courtfield Road, Newcastle, and Alan Fowler, 33, of Trinity Place, North Shields, North Tyneside - have already pleaded guilty to robbery.
All three have been remanded in custody and will be sentenced together later.
