A POST office in Skelton closed temporarily on Monday following the resignation of the subpostmaster.
The Post Office said it would do all it can to re-open the Skelton High Green branch as soon as possible.
In the meantime, customers are advised to use either the branch at 129-131 High Street, Skelton, or the one at 45 High Street, Boosbeck.
Rural transfer adviser Bill Earnshaw said: "We apologise to customers for the inconvenience this temporary closure is causing.
"We are working hard to restore normal services in the Skelton High Green area but the branch will remain closed until further notice."
Anyone interested in the vacancy, who must also be able to provide suitable, alternative premises, should contact the agency recruitment section on 08456 016260.
