A SPORTS star visited a Durham school that has netted two awards.
England netball player Deborah Percy presented Blue Coat Primary School in Neville's Cross, with an Active Mark Sport Award and a Healthy School Award and chatted to children about her career in sport.
Her visit coincided with the school's sponsored skip in aid of the British Heart Foundation.
School secretary Helen Grabham said: "The day has reflected the variety of different things there are here that everybody can get involved in.
"The children here get to try things they would not otherwise be able to."
Some of the sports on offer at the school include fencing, rugby, football, cricket, tennis, rounders and athletics.
Ms Grabham said: "It is not just about sport. It is about creating a happy and healthy environment where everybody can get on."
