A FIRE brigade in the North-East has won an award for its dedication to staff training.
County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service has been re-awarded Investor in People status.
It follows a comprehensive internal review. The service was also able to demonstrate a dedication to developing the needs of its workers.
Brigade manager George Herbert said: "We are delighted to be awarded with Investor in People status for the third time.
"This award recognises the continuing commitment and dedication of our staff to the aims and purposes of the fire and rescue service, and ultimately, to ensuring the safety of the people we serve."
The service employs more than 650 firefighting and support staff and provides fire, rescue and community safety services to more than half a million residents in County Durham and Darlington.
It also proved clear aims and objectives for the next year.
