FEARS of a meningitis case at a York primary school have proved unfounded after it was found that the pupil was suffering from a viral infection.
St Oswald's Primary School, in Fulford, sent letters to parents warning of a possible case and what symptoms to look out for.
Headteacher Paul Marks said the letters were a precautionary measure and had been provided by the local health authority
