VETERAN gunners will be able to attend an air museum for free at an annual reunion.
On behalf of the Former Air Gunners Association, the Yorkshire Air Museum has announced that, because national sponsorship had recently been secured, all veteran air gunners will be given free admittance at the reunion.
The event takes place on Thursday at the museum, in Halifax Way, Elvington, York.
There will be an afternoon service in the memorial garden, followed by a parade, led by a piper and parade-master.
The event will culminate in a flypast by a Lancaster from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, in honour of Second World War air gunners.
Museum director Ian Reed said: "The gathering of veterans always provides a poignant day for museum visitors and we would encourage members of the public to come and share the experience with the air gunners."
