UP to 800 North-East pensioners are expected to attend a march and rally next week.
The rally, at Coatham Bowl, Redcar, next Thursday, has been organised by the Cleveland Pensioners' Forum.
Speakers will include Rodney Bickerstaffe, president of the National Pensioners' Convention, John Berry, secretary of the North-East Pensioners' Association, Jeanie Drake, of the Communication Workers' Union, and Maurice Bates, director of Health and Social Care at Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council.
There will also be stalls with information for older people.
Anyone wanting to take part in the forum should meet on the seafront at Redcar, opposite the former Coatham Hotel, at 11am.
The march will start at about 11.30am and will follow a piper and drummer along the seafront.
