Volunteers have joined forces with residents in Blackhall Rocks to provide a breakfast club for schoolchildren.
Kasko House, Marine Crescent, will be the venue for the club, which will open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The project has got off the ground thanks to workers from Easington Primary Care Trust's Healthy Communities Collaborative.
Karen Smith, project manager, said: "Breakfast is an important meal, especially for children and our club aims to offer healthy, affordable options for local youngsters."
