Spraire Lads: Next season's Under 11s who begin to play 11-a-side football in the new season played there first pre-season friendly at 11 a side away to Greatham.
Spraire started well going close in the opening ten minutes a couple of times. They finally got the break through when a left foot shot from Zac Tervit found the bottom corner of the net. Spraire then went asleep and allowed Greatham to push forward and equalise. Greatham kept pushing forward but stout defending and good goalkeeping kept Greatham at bay. Spraire got back into the game and took control with two quick fire goals from Wilson Kneeshaw and James Bennett made it 3-1. Spraire pushed on again in the final ten minutes grabbing two more through Kerry Hedley and Zac getting his second to make the final score 5-1. A mention must go to the defence who marshalled by Ryan Allinson were outstanding and never looked troubled.
