Crook League: Crook Belle Vue lost possession of the top place in Division One when they went down in the deciding doubles at Crook Coach and Horses A.
Their defeat allowed Crook Queen's Head A, who won by three points at home to Hunwick Club, to go two points clear at the top, whilst Crook Travellers Rest B, three points winners at Willington Market, moved one point behind Belle Vue.
Crook Coach and Horses A had singles wins from Tut Lee, Eric Machan and Lee Scott but the visitors equalised with wins from Ivor Phillipson, Arthur Hope and Dave Hakin. However the Coach went to victory when Eric Reynolds and Tut Lee beat Ian Hodkinson and Dave Hakin in the deciding doubles.
In the Second Division Crook Queen's Head B won in the deciding doubles at the Spitfire Club so both teams now share third place behind the joint leaders, Crook White Swan B and Willington Brewer's Droop.
The Spitfire Club had singles wins from Harry Tait, Rob Grayson and Eddie Phillipson whilst Dave Heslop, Alan Saville and Stephen Gibson replied for the Queen's B, who then edged to victory when Malcolm Gibson and Dave Heslop beat Diane Walker and Ronnie Rinaldi in the decider.

Wolsingham Club ended the unbeaten record of their hosts at Tow Law New Market A when they came from behind to win by the odd point. Craig Porter put the visitors ahead but then the New Market had wins from Tom Dowson and Stephen Laing. Adam Dobson squared the match and then Wolsingham Club went to victory when James Ivil beat Heather Laing in the decider.
Tow Law Cattle Mart were able to join the New Market A at the top of the table after they whitewashed the visiting Tow Law New Market B. The Mart had wins from Lee Mowbray, Anthony Ward, Gavin Hammell, Paul Murray and Steven Todd. This result puts the Mart and New Market A one point ahead of Wolsingham Club, who are one ahead of Newhouse Club.
