A HOSPITAL for people with autism will feature on an international news channel this weekend.
Newbus Grange, a 19-bed private hospital run by Darlington company Castlebeck, in Hurworth, near Darlington, is one of the subjects of a programme on CNN called Design 360.
The programme explores different types of garden design and Newbus Grange's sensory garden will be featured.
The garden, developed by Chelsea Flower Show-winning designer Paul Cooper, consists of four galleries dedicated to the four senses of touch, sight, hearing and smell.
David Cole, Castlebeck chief executive, said: "We are very proud of the sensory garden and are delighted that people all over the world will be able to see what an important role it is playing in the care of autistic people."
* Design 360 will be broadcast worldwide at 4.30pm tomorrow and 7.30pm on Sunday. The programme will then be repeated every alternative weekend at the same time throughout August and September.
