A YANKEE Doodle Day will be held at Redcar racecourse on Sunday to celebrate American Independence Day.
There will be American-themed promotions and attractions at the family event, including Disney characters, roaming entertainers, go-karts and a bouncy castle.
The gates will open at 12.20pm and racegoers will be entertained by The Crew Dance Troupe and The New Orleans Jazz Band.
Food offers with an American twist include Giant Hot Dogs, while a racecard competition is offering a week-long family holiday to Orlando in February next year as the star prize.
Action on the track starts at 2.20pm. The feature race is The Formica Surfacing Your World Stakes, a £20,000-added handicap contest for three-year-olds over one mile and three furlongs.
Family Tickets for Redcar's other Sunday meeting on August 8 will be on sale at £5 into the Family Enclosure for two adults and children.
