STOCKTON drugs squad has recovered £114,000 worth of heroin following a raid on an address in Dunster Road, Billingham.
Three people were arrested at the house following the discovery of the 1kg block of the drug which was hidden in an item of clothing.
A 53-year-old, a 57-year-old woman and a 16-year-old youth were taken to Stockton police station to be interviewed in connection with possession with intent to supply heroin.
The raid led to another address in the street where a 46-year-old woman was also arrested and charged.
The drugs have been sent for analysis.
Detective Constable Colin Johnson said: "This was another excellent result for Operation Sabre and will have caused major disruption to the supply of heroin in the Billingham area. Six kilos worth £600,000 have now been recovered by police in Stockton in the past six months.
"Dealing in Class A drugs will not be tolerated and there will be no let-up in our operations to stamp out dealing."
