THIRSK Falcons FC recently celebrated yet another record-breaking season for the club at their annual presentation evening held at The Angel, Topcliffe.
The first team finished third in the Harrogate and District League premier division to equal their best position, while the second team gained promotion for the second consecutive season when they finished runners-up in division two.
The club are now planning to enter a third team into the league for the forthcoming season.
The newly-formed women's team played a season of friendlies with some very encouraging results and they now look forward to a challenging season in the Yorkshire and Humberside League.
Presentations were made by the club president, Ian Codling, together with Roger Etherinton from club sponsors Rydenor.

The men's team also embarked on an end-of-season trip to the Czech Republic, where they played local team FC Pivrncova Jadenactka from Prague. Falcons ran out 5-3 winners in a great game and the club hopes to make this an annual event.
The club thanked Chatsworth Windows and The Black Lion, together with supporters and everyone involved in the club over the past season.
Training for the new season started last night on the Flatts, with the first of a series of friendlies taking place on Saturday, July 17 against Richmond Town.
