It has been a very good week with the rod average up to 4.1 fish. There has still been no reports of any of the large blues being caught although one angler reported hooking a fish which went like an express train.
He was well down on his backing when the hook was thrown. Best fish of the week weighed 4lbs. Catches of the week were 10 fish by day ticket holder Mr W Trewhitt and 9 by club member Dave Cave. Club members Mr and Mrs Wilkinson had 14 fish between them from a four hour morning session. Best flies have been black buzzers, pheasant tails, gold ribbed hare's ear and damsel nymphs. Pick of the lures has been Dawson's olive, cat's whisker and baby doll.
