VOLUNTARY and community groups in east Cleveland can find out what free advice and support is on offer to them at a conference today.
The event, Make Time For Health, at Skelton Civic Centre, from 9.30am to 2.30pm, will be hosted by BBC Radio Cleveland presenter Stewart McFarlane.
Health development officer Janice McColm, of the Tees Valley Rural Community Council, who is co-ordinating the event, said: "The aim is to enable local voluntary and community groups to get together and learn about the health projects taking place and ensure people are aware of our free services.
"I'm available to any groups, organisations or individuals who would like support or assistance for any health-related project they are considering, such as starting up a mother and toddler group, breast-feeding support groups, weight management, walking for health, or men's health forums."
The project is backed by the Redcar and Cleveland Links To Health Partnership, led by Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council.
