County Super League: Crook Town B lost by two points on their trip to Shildon A but still managed to move to the top of the table, one point ahead of Spennymoor, who have a match in hand.
The home side had two points from Kevin Stewart, who knocked Gerald Parkin off the top of the Individual Player table by winning both games between them, and two points from Rance Richardson and Martin Taylor with Mal Parry and Kevin Clethero adding one each. The visitors' points came from Darren Tinkler, Lee Cullinan and David Stephenson, who won two each.
Crook Town A moved up to third place in the table when they beat the visiting Shildon B by ten points. David Waites was the visiting star as he took the only two points scored by his team. The home side had two points from Jim Ainsley, Aaron Cowan, Neil Campbell, Doug Bowey and Stephen Burke with Steve Liddle and Michael Burke, who made a great clearance from the break, adding one each.
Neil Campbell of Crook Town A moved to the top of the Individual Players table with 14 wins from 18 games; 2nd Gerald Parkin (Crook Town B) 13 from 18; 3rd equal Ronnie McAloon (Spennymoor), David Stephenson (Crook Town B) and Gavin Witton (Spennymoor) 12 from 16.
Fosters Extra Cold Crook League
Hunwick Club moved up to fourth place in the First Division following their draw at Crook Queen's Head A. However the newly promoted Club have a big leeway to make up to catch the leaders, Crook Travellers Rest B, who are unbeaten and four points ahead of Crook Coach and Horses B, who lead Crook Royal Sun by eight points.
Crook Queen's Head A had two points from John Howarth and Peter Genner with Dave Willey and Tommy Longstaff winning one each to add to the doubles from Dave Willey and Phil Hall. Hunwick replied with two points from Paul Maddison and one each from Alan Brownless, Neville Blenkinsopp, Mike O'Brien and Dave Bennett with Dave Rusby and Neville Laws adding the doubles. The scores reached six each with Maddison beating Willey to put Hunwick ahead but the home side equalised when Howarth beat Ian Richardson.
In the Second Division, Crook Golden Fleece went down to their first defeat and lost the top spot to Crook Queen's Head B, who moved one point ahead. Crook White Swan B are three points behind the Fleece.
Crook Surtees reached six five down at Crook Golden Fleece when they points from Paul Ford, Alan Tomlinson, John Uren and Howard trotter with Dave Byrne and John Uren adding a doubles point. The Fleece edged ahead with two points from Graham Young and Gus Witton with Chris Baker adding one and Graham Young with Gus Witton adding a doubles. However the home unbeaten tag went when the Surtees came from behind to win by two points with wins from Chris Bainbridge, Alan Tomlinson and Paul Ford.

Tow Law and District League
Ithe top of the table clash, Newhouse Club managed to hold on to pole position despite losing by two points at Sunniside Moss Inn. The home side took the first half of the singles by the odd point with wins from Ivor Childs, John Beveridge and Lol Cullinan with Steve Turner and Ian Dinsdale replying. The tables were turned in the second half when John Platt, Steve Turner and Graeme Thompson won for the visitors with Chris Hardy and Lee Cullinan replying. The Moss clinched victory when they won both the doubles.
This result leaves Newhouse one point clear of Sunniside Moss, who are two points clear of Sunniside Comedian, who went down by two points at Sunniside.
Billy Row Royal George came close to opening their wins column when entertained Hamilton Row Black Horse B but lost the two doubles after sharing the singles. The George had singles points from Alan Townsend, Paul Emms, Ronnie Morgan, Jimmy King and Stephen Seamen whilst the visitors replied with two points from John Chambers and one each from Michael Henderson, John Bohill and Steve Wilkie.
