Thirsk Falcons recently held their Annual Presentation Evening at The Angel, Topcliffe. The event, attended by over a hundred people, celebrated yet another record-breaking season for the club.
The first team finished in third place in the Harrogate & District Premier Division equalling their best ever position. The second team gained promotion for the second consecutive season, when they finished runners up in Division Two. The club are now planning to enter a third team into the league for the forthcoming season. The newly formed Ladies team played a season of friendlies with some very encouraging results and they now look forward to a challenging season when they will play in the Yorkshire and Humberside League.
Presentations were made by the Club President Ian Codling together with clubs sponsors, Roger Etherington from Rydenor.
Trophies were presented to the following: Top Goal Scorer: M Cobb - 1st Team; D Dixon - 2nd Team; L Mckeown - Ladies Team.

The men's team also embarked on an end of season trip to the Czech Republic where they played FC Pivrncova Jadenactka from Prague. Falcons ran out 5-3 winners in a great game with the club hoping to make this an annual event. The club would like to thank Chatsworth Windows and The Black Lion.
Training starts on July 1 on the Flatts with the first of a series of friendlies commencing on Saturday July 17 against Richmond Town.
