GOVERNMENT inspectors found that pupils like one school so much that some do not want to go home when lessons finish.
Ofsted inspectors praised the teaching at Errington Primary School, in Marske, and said pupils responded well to lessons and achieved good results.
Their report said: "Children's views are very positive. They like being at school and many report that they are sometimes reluctant to go home.
"Teachers and assistants build up excellent relationships, make lessons interesting and are very good at giving encouragement."
Headteacher Christine Stinson and deputy headteacher Linda Staples were praised for their leadership and clear vision.
Ms Stinson said: "The very good report reflects the hard work of all the staff and children."
The school hopes to raise standards in maths and to further develop marking and assessment procedures
