RESIDENTS are invited to a public meeting to discuss the possibility of developing improved play facilities in the heart of a large housing estate.
It is hoped that the meeting, at Newton Hall, Durham, will lead to the formation of a management steering group to ensure suggested proposals come to fruition.
Durham County Council hopes people of all ages will put forward their views about the kind of play facilities which should be developed in the Carr House Drive area, near Newton Hall's main shopping parade.
Councillor George Hunter, who represents Newton Hall on both Durham county and city councils, will be in the chair for the meeting, which will be held at Blue Coat Primary School, in Langley Road.
It takes place next Monday, starting at 6.30pm, and all are welcome.
Further information about the meeting and planned steering group is available from Paul Southgate, at County Hall, Durham, on 0191-374 0547
