SOME of the key figures in North-East rail will be quizzed today at a meeting arranged by a passenger watchdog.
The North-East Rail Passengers' Committee (RPC) is holding its tenth annual statutory meeting in Newcastle, where the theme will be passenger communication, or the lack of it.
Those expected to attend include Vernon Barker, managing director of the TransPennine Express (TPE), and Heidi Mottram, operations director of Arriva Trains Northern.
The RPC will ask train operators how they keep passengers informed in times of disruption.
It will also ask what steps TPE has made to improve information at its stations.
The meeting is at 10.30am, at the Thistle Hotel, Newcastle.
