THE nine council representatives for Cleveland Police Authority were finalised when all four local councils sat round a table to draw up the list.
Current authority chairman Councillor Ken Walker was not re-selected by Middlesbrough Council Labour group when they nominated their three candidates.
Political balance determined the shape of the council representatives with four labour (Lab) members, two each for the Conservatives (Con) and Liberal Democrats (LibDem) and one Independent selected to sit on the police authority.
Middlesbrough councillors Barry Coppinger (Lab), Hazel Pearson (Con) and (Ind) Ron Lowes will sit alongside Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council's Dave McLuckie (Lab) and Joyce Benbow (LibDem).
Trevor Rogan (Lab) and Caroline Barker (LibDem) will represent Hartlepool Borough Council while Mike Womphrey (Cons) and Chris Coombes (Lab) take the seats for Stockton Borough Council.
