MEMBERS of Middlesbrough Council's Streetscene Services, working with the probation service, have been helping to tidy up part of the town this week.
About 30 people took part in the clean-up in the Burnside Avenue area of Grove Hill.
Councillor Bob Kerr, executive member for environment, said: "We identified Grove Hill as an area which would benefit from some targeted, co- ordinated action and that's what we did."
Members of Hot Spot Litter, Rapid Reaction and horticulture teams removed rubbish, graffiti and broken boundary fences.
They also cut the grass, weeded and repositioned bollards.
